I'm back from my semester abroad!! (Finally). It's been very nice to spend time with my family again, even though it's just my mom at home rn :/ Both my brothers are off doing their own things this summer. I'm happy to be back with my plushies :3 and my art supplies :3 I sat down with my mom this afternoon and attempted to teach her how to use oil pastels, to moderate success. Maybe I'll post the drawings I did later.... keep an eye out!

The next thing on my to-do list for this site is to figure out how to make a little button that links back here (linking part: easy. button part: hard) and then meet some neighbors!! I think it's super fun when I click around on people's sites and they have a bunch of friends linked for me to click around on. It's like an endless little loop...... beautiful. I also signed up for some fanlistings, but haven't heard back from any of them :( hopefully soon, and then I can add their little stamps to my site as well!!
On another note, I'm feeling a little lonely the past few weeks :( I guess part of that is why I decided to finally make a website, in the hopes of finding more connection online than you get through apersonal sites like Instagram or Youtube. I hate just consuming content endlessly. I want to contribute to the communities I'm apart of!!!! Part of my current loneliness is definitely the fact that currently I'm in a timezone 14 hours ahead of where all my friends and family are. I'm really glad I decided to take a semester abroad, but at the same time I just want to go home. Sigh. I'm trying to enjoy it as much as I can, but I miss my friends, my family, and my collections of plushies and art supplies. Only a month and a half left, and once I'm gone I know I'll miss it here - so I better make the most of it while I can.

Oh my god CSS and HTML are so much more complicated than I realized. I've spent like two hours figuring out all my pages. The hardest one by FAR was the gallery page, you all should appreciate that. And I had starter code too..... I didn't even make it from scratch.... evil evil evil. I figured it out though!!! Everyone should be proud of me for my hard work. Now watch me never touch this website again.

It's baby's (my) first blog post on neocities! Today I only had one class, and it's the one where I feel like I'm the only one in the room who understands the teacher. We watched some short films about different art manifestos and analyzed them. I highly recommend watching them - you can find them on Julian Rosefeldt's website here. The ones we watched today were Chapters 2, 5, and 6.
